COMSATS — NTS NAT 2027

CUI
Test used byCOMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) and other NTS-affiliated universities

NTS National Aptitude Test (NAT-IE / NAT-ICS) — the admission test for BS Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering and other undergraduate programmes at COMSATS campuses (Islamabad, Lahore, Abbottabad, Wah, Attock, Sahiwal, Vehari) and NTS-affiliated universities.

Purpose of the test

What COMSATS — NTS NAT is for

COMSATS University Islamabad admits undergraduates on the National Aptitude Test (NAT) conducted by the National Testing Service. NAT-IE is the version for pre-engineering students and NAT-ICS for computer science backgrounds.

NAT is an aptitude test more than a syllabus test: English, logic and quick arithmetic together make up two-thirds of it. NTS runs NAT many times a year and a score stays valid for one year, so you can sit it early and retake it to improve.

Accepted for

  • COMSATS University Islamabad — all campuses
  • NTS-affiliated public and private universities
  • FAST-NUCES (alternative route for eligible programmes)

Test centres: NTS centres nationwide

The verbal and analytical sections reward speed with simple English and logic, while the 30 subject MCQs are straightforward FSc questions. Most students lose marks to time, not difficulty: 90 questions in 120 minutes leaves 80 seconds each, but reading-heavy analytical items eat into it.

Skills that lift your NTS NAT score

SKILL 01

Logic patterns

Analytical items repeat a few formats. Learn them once and you gain easy marks.

SKILL 02

Quick arithmetic

Quantitative is matric-level maths done fast.

SKILL 03

Vocabulary and analogies

Verbal tests word meaning in context and relationships between words.

SKILL 04

Sit early, retake

A score lasts a year: take NAT in February, then improve in a later session.

SKILL 05

Keep subject marks safe

The 30 subject MCQs are your most reliable points.

SKILL 06

No blanks

There is no negative marking.
